Hence, we utilized fieldnotes, questionnaires, semi-structured interviews and a discussion group. The data obtained was analyzed with qualitative content analysis and descriptive statistics. The results obtained reveal the potential of the treatment of current social problems to develop citizenship competences and interest in public issues. Abstract
