Abstract

Due to the traffic congestion caused by increasing traffic flow at airport, a strategy to schedule arrival flights at airport with one runway is studied by utilizing collaborative decision making and law of economics. First, taking into account factors including airline's gross income, operation cost and delay cost, a scheduling optimization model to maximize total airline's profit is established, and constraints such as separation between consecutive arrival flights are imposed too. Then, to obtain optimal solutions to the optimization model, a modified genetic algorithm is developed.
