Community participation is needed in the management of educational services following the needs of the school. To accommodate public participation, a forum called the school committee was formed. The objective of this study is to describe the extent role of school committees in improving student learning achievement as supporters, controllers, and mediators. This study uses a qualitative approach with a multi-site design. Data were collected using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentary analysis. obtained from this study indicate that the school committee plays an active role in improving student learning outcomes. Abstract
