Abstract
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) require effective human resource management practices to sustain their competitiveness. However, the small business literature indicates the focus on human resource management practices as a mean to improve effectiveness and competitiveness of SMEs has received little research attention. The purpose of this paper is to contribute to a better understanding of human resource management practices among SMEs.
