Adaptive algorithms are proposed in literature to estimate the channel information. But most of the gradient based adaptive algorithms developed where error square is a cost function which is not robust to the impulsive noise. In this paper, modified cost function is used in the adaptive algorithm to make the channel estimation is robust. Distributed channel estimation algorithm is developed based on incremental way of cooperation which make the algorithm energy efficient in a wireless sensor network.
