Abstract

The paper deals with the design of line-start permanent-magnet synchronous motor (LSPMSM) with low speed and multi poles applied for small direct drive. Firstly, according to the motor design index and electromagnetic load, we complete the initial design of the motor. By analyzing the operation performance of the motor, the main design variables and multi-objective optimization are determined. Using the orthogonal test method and the analysis of the performance index of electromagnetic calculation, the optimization of the design variables in a large range is completed.
