Abstract
Dissipative inductances of the autotransformer influence greatly the commutative processes in multipulse electrical energy rectifiers. This paper discusses the model of multiwinding autotransformer used in calculations of transient states, based on FEM in 3D formulation. Once supplemented by a diode circuit, it was acting as a model of multipulse electrical energy rectifier, at calculations of transient states. The other way of using this multiwinding autotransformer model is to perform both calculations for transient states in autotransformer as well as calculations of matrix entries of coil dissipative inductance. Such method of calculations of dissipative inductance matrix will be compared with energetic methods, where inductance matrix is obtained from the magnetic field energy, while assuming constant coil currents. A 3D autotransformer model and two 3D models will be presented. Differences occurring between two dissipative inductance matrices obtained by the methods have been isolated in this paper.
