You Know What the Bible Says: A Proposal for Engaging Scripture with Male Abusers

Abstract

In this article the author explores the uses and misuses of the Bible in confronting African American men about violence. Following narrative and hermeneutical methods, he exposes tendencies to violence in the Bible, and suggests alternative approaches to reading the Bible within the African American churches.
