Distance Degree in Physics: analysis of the virtual environment TelEduc under the eyes of the concept of symbolic mediation of Vygotsky

Abstract

The former The former essay has as an objective to investigate the conceptions of the teachers from Physics Graduation distance course of UNIFEI about the utilization and management of the TelEduc’s tools, virtual environment used to offer the course, with the finality of mediating the knowledge. With this pretension, a Distance Higher Education’s panorama is initially presented, related to the implementation of public politics from this educational field. Stands out the relevance of analyzing the possibilities of effectiveness of this education and learning process and the use of the TelEduc’s tools by the teachers. Such analysis had as a theoretical reference the concept of symbolic mediation by Vygotsky. To that, there were made semi structured interviews with 10 professors from the course that, later, where qualitatively analyzed, having the Content Analysis by Bardin as a basis. The analysis show us that the experience and conception from the teachers reveal an education modality in consolidation, with some difficulties, but also with some expectations and results.
