Abstract

The industrial process is monitored and controlled by the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System that are installed throughout the plant. Currently, the commercially available SCADA systems are not in the approach of the small industries due to the higher installation cost and are not benefited enough by this technology. This research investigates the performance of the SCADA software developed in C# environment and the comparison with commercial SCADA software in the aspects of cost effectiveness, performance and easiness in customization is presented.
