Abstract

This Paper proposes method of estimating and controlling the speed using PID and FUZZY TECHNIQUE for a separately excited DC motor. To achieve accurate speed control of separately excited DC Motor, the rotor speed of the dc motor can be made to follow an arbitrarily selected range especially when the motor and load parameters are known. In existing feedback control system, if there is any variation in the load, the system will take some time to achieve the stability. In this paper, we try to implement fuzzy logic control technique to achieve stability by generating control signal for speed with lesser time delay compared to the conventional PID system.
