The personality profiles of modern parents bringing up a child with autism

Abstract

The empirical results of study of personality of parents bringing up children with autism are stated in this article. The general results of thecomparison of anamnesis of the families from the experimental and control groups are presented. Presented personality pleiades are formed according to the interrelations between psychological features " trait anxiety", "depression", "neuroticism", "psychoticism", "autistic traits", "systematization", "technical and exact-scientific direction", which were highlighted and described as a result of theoretical researches. The personality profiles of men and women who bringing up children with autism and neurotypical children were built on the basis of the abovementioned parents’ psychological features. The comparative analysis od these profiles is performed.
