Boring operation was performed on EN8 material work piece with and without viscoelastic material damper on CNC machine. Taguchi optimization technique applied to determine the optimum boring parameters: spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. Experimental results are appraised as surface roughness. PTFE gives better result as compare to other viscoelastic material PVC and Rubber. Abstract
