This research was carried out so as to investigate leaners’ accuracy improvement under the influence of task-based approach. It was also aimed at finding out some challenges faced by participants while doing the assigned tasks. The study was conducted on 60 EFL students of a selected English language center in Can Tho City. They were equally divided into two groups: the experimental and the control group. Research instruments included a speaking test used a pre-test and post-test. Quantitative data was analyzed by the SPSS. The results showed that the speaking accuracy of students in experimental group was significantly improved, while the control group students made a limited progress.
