Abstract

The paper presents a mathematical model for determining resource indicators of steam turbines of nuclear power plants to justify the possibility of extending their operating time after the exhaustion of the estimated resource. Prediction of the permissible service life-time is carried out with the use of numerical studies of the thermal and stress-strain state of the turbine during typical operating regimes, taking into account real operating conditions. A technique is proposed for studying accumulated low-cycle fatigue and exhausting the long-term strength of the base metal of turbines of nuclear power plants.
