Abstract

Edge-detection techniques have been used for a variety of purposes. For the case of Biomedical information extraction like bone fracture detection, edge plays a vital role. An edge has been detected using different techniques and methods. Among the different techniques, Canny's method has been used since its proposal by J. Canny [1]. Canny methods contain's different steps towards the detection of the edges. Among the stages, the hysteresis linking method is complex as it needs neighbourhood data information. Retrieve this neighbourhood information increases the complexity of the algorithm.
