In the era of the covid 19 pandemic nurses in hospitals interact the most with patients so they have a great risk of being infected with covid 19. The condition leaves nurses with anxiety, fear of transmitting the virus to their family, friends, or colleagues. This type of research is quantitative with quasi experimental research design. The method used is One group pre-posttest design. The research population of nurses ward covid RSJ Prof. dr. Soerojo Magelang. Researchers use the non-random sampling technique with convenience sampling approach. Measurement of anxiety levels using HARS (Hamilton anxiety rating scale) and those experiencing anxiety get psychological assistance psychotherapy group. The study resulted in a population of 54 people. Most of the ages are 36-46 years old as many as 27 people (48%). The sexes are 23 men (43%) and women 31 (57%). Most respondents had a working period of less than 12 months as many as 23 people (43%). Of the 54 nurses, 5 people experienced mild anxiety (10%) and after being given group therapy experienced a decrease in anxiety levels.
