Abstract

The goals of All-Russian Institute of Scientific and Technical Information as the Center-Generator of databases and head organization of the State System of Sci-tech Information are defined. VINITI current status and potentialities for processing world flow of sci-tech information and user services are analyzed in brief. Factual data on its resources and user services are provided. The challenges and prospective vectors of VINITI information and technological modernization are examined.
