A Polêmica da Fosfoetanolamina no Ensino de Química: Articulações entre o Planejamento de Ensino e a Comunicação Científica

Abstract

: The Phosphoethanolamine in Chemistry Teaching: articulations between teaching planning and science communication. One of the main concerns regarding Chemistry teaching is that students should understand its processes and products as well as the forms of communication used to disseminate them to the population. Thus, understanding and questioning the role of the media in the study of socioscientific issues are purposes that could be sought in the structuring of teaching plans. This article is based on the controversy about the release of phosphoethanolamine for the treatment of cancer in Brazil in 2016 as an interface between scientific and social interests to elicit discussions about how aspects of scientific communication can be articulated to teaching planning in order to contemplate the goal of problematizing the link between scientific communication and critical thinking in the classroom.
