The structure of a single-phase power factor correctors control system, providing the desired dynamic operation mode in a wide range of variation of the control system parameters, is proposed. A study of nonlinear dynamics of a single-phase power factor corrector has been carried out and the domains of existence of undesired operation modes have been identified. It is shown that the introduction of nonlinear dynamics control makes it possible to eliminate these domains and ensure operation of the system in the desired dynamic mode, which provides high quality of the output voltage and power consumed from the mains supply. Abstract

The paper covers the issues of improvement of control systems for single-phase power factor correctors which appear to be nonlinear dynamic systems prone to undesired fluctuations in the circuit currents and voltages. The structure of a single-phase power factor correctors control system, providing the desired dynamic operation mode in a wide range of variation of the control system parameters, is proposed.
