Abstract

An experimental characterization method based on the transmission coefficient inversion is presented. Measurements performed on a thin piezoelectric ceramic plate and a passive filler material were first analyzed. A 1-3 piezocomposite plate was then manufactured from these two materials and its properties were measured through the same iterative process. In parallel, a theoretical homogenization method of 1-3 periodic piezocomposite is presented.
