Abstract

This paper describes two years of measurements in Dejvice Campus in Prague. For measuring four different kind of surfaces were selected: a natural surface with vegetation (lawn in good/bad condition) and an artificial surface (asphalt/concrete). It was measured in two height levels in 30 cm and 2 m above the ground due to subsequent evaluation and comparison with hydrometeorological quantities (temperature, humidity). Advanced statistics and static and dynamic parameters of temperature autoregulation have been identified. Description of principles of vegetation cooling effect is contribution to Urban Heat Island mitigation.
