This research is development research based on the Borg and Gall development model but is limited to the fifth stage, namely: (1) research and data collection, (2) planning, (3) product draft development, initial field trials, (5) revising trial results. The test subjects in this study were 33 students of class IV SDN 01 Sambirejo Jumantono District, Karanganyar Regency with details: 6 students for limited trials, and 27 students for field trials. The results showed that: (1) the provision of instructional media facilities in elementary schools which were the subject of the trial was not optimal, (2) the developed comic media in terms of the quality of media aspects and material aspects according to experts, according to the teacher, and the results of student responses were categorized very good, (3) comic media based on local wisdom is valid and can be tested in learning the theme of Peduli terhadap makhluk hidup, sub-theme Ayo Cintai Lingkungan in elementary schools. Abstract
