That is when three consecutive 1s or 0s of digitally encoded signal occur, the digital to analog converter gives the step size changed adaptively, otherwise it is unchanged. The proposed algorithm has the features of quite catching the transitions of signal, high stability, and simplified circuit implementation. A wideband adaptive delta modulator for digitalized video signal application is presented.
