Abstract

In recent years, there has been a need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to realize a decarbonized society. According to Japan’s plan, it has been decided that 46% of that gas will be reduced by 2030. To achieve this goal, the introduction of EVs, which emit no carbon dioxide, will be effective. To reduce the exhaust gas caused by traffic congestion in urban areas, the combination with Park and Ride is effective. There are two methods of EV parking station operation: off-grid and on-grid, each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages. In this paper compares two methods, on-grid and off-grid, for a Park and Ride parking station that charges EVs with PV and WG, and proposes the usefulness of on-grid.
