The Effect of The Process of Political Socialization on Political Culture and political Awareness in Morocco

Abstract

The political culture; It includes the whole of the principles, values, beliefs and ideas that individuals have towards the political system. Although political culture has similar characteristics in some aspects in every society, in general, each society has its own unique political culture. Political culture of a country; It is shaped under the influence of many factors, and political socialization factor comes first among them. Political socialization is the process by which values, principles and beliefs are transferred from one generation to another. This process has three main roles; It is the process of transferring political culture from one generation to another, the formation of political culture and the change of political culture. This article aims to expound the impact of the family, religious, educational institutions, political parties and media in the political socialization and political culture formation in Morocco. Accordingly, it will be exposed to how the different social institutions, i.e. family, educational, religious, political parties and media, effect the political orientations, political consciousness and preferences of the society, and how they serve the formation and construction of political culture.
