Abstract

With the progress of technology, phased array radar is more and more widely used. Compared with traditional mechanical scanning radar, phased array radar has the advantages of flexible beam pointing, short response time, high data rate, strong anti-jamming ability and high reliability. The signal processing system of phased array radar is the key to its performance. This paper introduces the hardware design of a two-dimensional electric scanning phased array radar signal processing system. In order to meet the characteristics of phased array radar, we propose a signal processing hardware design scheme based on Xilinx FPGA, kinex-7 and multi-core digital signal processor (DSP). The following experiments and tests show that the signal processing system can meet the design requirements.
