Additional effect of intensive language teaching (teaching german at the upgrading department of Pedagogical Faculty Of Moscow State University)

Abstract

The article describes the benefits which the language teaching gives when the intensive methods of teaching are used, in particular, the course«Teaching the basics of scientific communication in German». The advantages concern a significant improvement of the students’ communication skills, including those in writing; a step forward in their pedagogical experience; activation of the learners’ creative potential when performing creative tasks; their acquaintance with a number of German scientific texts introducing different approaches and concepts; emotional experiences and gaining life experience as such.
