However, in practice at SMPN 1 2 X 11 Kayutanam, competence to understand the concepts of class VIII students are not yet optimal. the competence to understand this concept is not optimal and it affects other mathematical abilities. One of the efforts to so that students understanding concepts increases is to apply generative form of learning. Wishes of this study is to describe whether the competence to understand the concepts of students learned using a generative learning model is better than the competence to understand concepts of students learned using a direct learning model in class VIII of the SMPN 1 2 x 11 Kayutanam. The research method applied is quasi-experimental. The population in this study is 2021/2022 Class VIII SMP Negeri 1 2 x 11 Kayutanam. Sampling was performed using simpler random sampling techniques, with class VIII.2 as the experimental class and class VIII.3 as the control class.The research tool used was a conceptual understanding as in the form of a test of essay questions. Data from the Conceptual Understanding Tests were analyzed using t-tests. Reasonable results of the final test review, it was found that students who learned using generative learning models had better understanding of mathematical concepts than students who learned using direct learning models in class VIII of SMP N 1 2 x 11 Kayutanam. Therefore, it can be concluded that generative learning models have an impact on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. 学习数学概念是学生必须掌握的学习目标之一。然而,在SMPN 1 2 X 11 Kayutanam的实践中,理解八年级学生概念的能力尚未达到最佳水平。理解这个概念的能力不是最佳的,它会影响其他数学能力。生成性学习是提高学生对概念理解能力的一种方法。本研究的目的是描述在SMPN 1 2 x 11 Kayutanam的VIII班中,理解使用生成式学习模式学习的学生概念的能力是否优于理解使用直接学习模式学习的学生概念的能力。采用准实验研究方法。本研究中的人口为2021/2022年VIII级SMP Negeri 12 x 11 Kayutanam。抽样采用较简单的随机抽样技术,以VIII.2类为实验类,VIII.3类为对照类。所使用的研究工具是一种概念性的理解,以一种论文问题的形式进行测试。概念理解测试的数据使用t检验进行分析。合理的期末考试回顾结果发现,在SMP N 1 2 x 11 Kayutanam第八班,使用生成学习模式学习的学生比使用直接学习模式学习的学生对数学概念的理解更好。由此可见,生成性学习模式对学生对数学概念的理解有影响。关键词:概念理解,生成性学习模式,直接学习模式
