Abstract
This paper deals with multivariable control and its use in practice. Some systems may require more advanced methods of control. These systems can be multidimensional, and they are also called systems with multiple inputs and multiple outputs (MIMO). There are usually links between these inputs and outputs that can interact with each other. The main goal of this work was the presentation of the procedure for the design of multivariable control and application to the laboratory model of the helicopter. The work also deals with system identification and controller design according to selected synthesis methods. The result is a comparison of controlling processes without and with consideration of the system cross-links.
