Abstract

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) emerges as a therapy approach that has attracted much attention in the recent years. Since solution-focused brief therapy incorporates a positive perspective, focuses on solutions rather than problems and believes in the power of the client. Besides, it is a short-term therapy, which is a major advantage of SFBT for practices. Indeed, SFBT appears to be highly functional in family consultancy given the expectations of parents who want their children to change in short-term as well as the developmental characteristics of children and adolescents
