LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in Chinese; abstract also in English. Li Changgeng (1752-1807) was an eminent navy general and poet par excellence who lived through the reigns of Emperors Qianlong and Jiaqing of the Qing (mid 18th-early 19th centuries).
