Abstract
Solar panel testing is generally carried out in a laboratory using a solar simulator. Therefore we need a prototype solar simulator for testing the characteristics of solar panels. This study uses a monocrystalline solar panel with 20 Wp. The maximum open circuit voltage is 21.80 V and the maximum short circuit current is 1.21 A. The light source for the solar cell used in this research is 1000 W and 220 V halogen lamp. The output size can be adjusted using SPC (Single Phase Controller). In this study, the measurement results can be monitored and controlled on the LabVIEW dashboard display as the HMI (Human Machine Interface). In this solar simulator, the voltage and current measurement results of the design work according to their function, the sensitivity of voltage and current measurements is very good for measuring areas 0-22 V and 0-3 A dc for use in solar panel simulators, the accuracy of voltage and current measurement meets the industry class requirements ± 1%. The overall performance of the simulator tool is as design.
