KTC has several programs in its curriculum and extra-curriculum. “Design method” and “Engineering Management” are the subjects for learning the design thinking methodology. “Graduation research”, “Learning Express”, and “Mini-Hydro Power Generation Contest” are the programs for practicing the learned skills actually. Those programs received good response from the participated students and good result. Abstract

Design thinking is a popular method to make an innovation. It is a methodology of thinking as a human-centered experience. Japanese enterprises have a tendency to set a high value on students' innovative skills. This paper is an introduction to example of design thinking of Kanazawa Technical College (KTC) engineering education.
