Abstract
In recent years, there has been a trend towards the integration of games and gaming elements in education. While conventional learning methods usually face difficulties in keeping students envolved and motivated, games are able to keep players engaged for hours without losing focus. However, the integration of gaming elements into education must be well thought. Therefore, appropriate design methodologies and guidelines are necessary for successful implementation of educational games. This paper provides an overview of available frameworks for creating educational games, as well as a comparison of them.
