Therefore, the research followed the experimental method, designing one group with a pre- and post-test and selecting an intentional sample of (21) students of the Master of Special Education at Taif University. The research is designing the lateral thinking scale and building the proposed training program. The lateral thinking scale was applying before on the target sample, and then the research applying the training program to the research sample, and finally applying the lateral thinking scale posteriorly. The results of the research indicated that the students’ possession of lateral thinking skills at an average level. The rank average of the students’ scores on the scale was (0.50), and it was found that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students in the pre and post measurements at the level of significance (0.05) on the lateral thinking scale in favor of the measurement.
