This paper presents a comparison of multi-area LFC with and without conventional controllers and conventional controllers in the presence of BES System. Abstract

The main objective of the power system is to provide good quality of power to the consumer. Continuous change in frequency by variation in load is a big challenge for generating unit to compensate it quickly as possible. Load Frequency Control (LFC) acts essential role to mitigate this problem by maintaining the frequency up to its desired level. PI and PID are conventional controllers can be used for LFC. Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) gives better results than conventional controllers. With the help of BES System voltage can be build up to, as many systems required.
