Abstract
This paper reports a new strategy for ICT-enhanced learning targeting at the global awareness issues for bridging the gap between the university and the society at the global level. While defining the key points for the global education, it is proposed that there should be a need for the learning environment to nurture the problem-solving skills in teams consisting of global students to tackle with the issues in the global society. The proposed courses here are based on the pilot study courses to set a benchmark as well as on a series of discussions between Kansai University and ASEAN universities, especially, universities in Taiwan and Malaysian Putra University. These courses focus on Communication to Build Trust through Empathy in the Society and Social Entrepreneurship, e-Culture & e-Agriculture. These courses make a heavy use of the state-of-the-art ICT and rich media Technology. It is planned that the courses will be fully launched in the fall semester of the academic year 2017 among the allied universities.
