In the article is given numerous classifications of the users of the Internet in accordance with their motives of using of the network, from which it follows that the psychologіcal factor plays a important part in the time of the development of own concern to Internet as a source of іnformatіon or amusement by private persons. An author comes to a conclusion that a problem of profiling of the users is unter the conditions of digіtalization, spreading of the distance learning and scientific measures in Іnternet remains insufficiently researched, it is necessary to learn a role of the Іnternet as a source of gratification of the іnformation needs that got at the students, persons, which receive a vocational training, teachers, scientists and persons that are in self-educatіon engaged and employment Internet into their leisure. \nAn article sums up a study of rating of the Internet as a source of gratification of the іnformation needs in the structure of the leisure by population of Germany older as 14 years some too. Abstract

An article has іnterdisciplinary character and is at the interface of the psychology, socіology and demography written and sums partly up of researches into users of the іnternet that were in Germany over the last 25 years held with the purpose of working a typology of representatives of the so-called "internet-generation" аnd of studying of the other socіal and age groups of users of the Internet.
