Abstract
This study confirmed specific cases of the implementation of the military exam in Jeju. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the first Jeju military exam was continuously conducted by assigning three personnel belonging to Jeolla Province, and through the records, 73 tests were conducted and 124 people passed.

During the reign of King Cheoljong, special military exams were conducted only in Jeju, and in two tests, Lee Eon-Gil and Yang Je-ho took first place. In 1854, eight soldiers passed the special military exam conducted in Jeju. Finally, the operation of Jeju Mabyeongdosi(馬兵都試) and Byeolpo-Gwa(別砲科) was considered.
