Abstract
Health care is an important factor for a better quality of life, especially when monitoring can be done from everyday environments without the need of requiring a health professional all the time. This can be achieved, knowing the technological advances that could help us to improve health monitoring. To develop a system that is easy to use, non-invasive and could be of daily use, an initial literature exploration was performed to inform the main characteristics of the health monitoring systems through wearable devices.
