Abstract

Due to high contribution of distribution networks in energy losses, the distribution companies have encountered with a new challenge in minimizing energy losses. This article aimed at analyzing placement of capacitors in distribution networks in presence of electric vehicles observing reliability and economy components. The goal was to minimize the system total cost, including system power loss, system risk, and investment, purchased energy from upstream network and maintenance. Also, for achieving practical results, the inflation and interest rates were taken into account as the economic factor in programming. The annual rate of the load increase, daily and yearly changes and the consumers loads were used in modeling.
