Simulation results are performed with different disturbance conditions for testing the stability of the studied system. Abstract

In this paper, a Fuzzy Logic Damping Controller (FLDC) is applied to control a Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) to improve the stability of a grid connected wind power system. The wind power system is represented as a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) driven by a wind turbine. The power grid is simulated by a standard IEEE 14-bus power system.
