Optical Performance Monitoring in WDM Networks: Progresses and Challenges

Abstract

In this paper, we will review the current status of these techniques and discuss the remaining challenges. In addition, we will attempt to raise the standard issues required for the utilization of optical performance monitoring techniques in the next-generation optical transport networks.
