Abstract
In this work, properties of gold nanoparticles are systematically investigated for a possible application in RF Heating for oncology. An in vitro study is proposed based on the measurement of dielectric properties, electric field strength and specific absorption rate (SAR) of tissue equivalent liquids of frequency 1.80–2.45GHz. Unlike the previous studies on low RF frequency, this paper shows the significant effect of gold nanoparticles on the absorption of the tissue equivalent liquid when exposed to high RF frequencies. The results are statistically analysed and reported.
