Abstract
The present paper describes a device developed for microcurrent stimulation in the human body. The main goal is to discuss empirical evidences which suggest this procedure as an effective way to aid the repair process of injured tissues. It involves application of voltages and currents of similar magnitude to those generated endogenously during normal tissue healing. Results indicated that the resistance of the skin on injured areas decreases with continuous use of microcurrent stimulation. The method effectiveness is specially related to pain relief.
