This research is a research and development. It aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Macromedia flash based learning media. The development phase used the ADDIE model. The findings indicate that Macromedia flash based learning media are suitable to be used as learning media. This can be seen from: first, the material expert’s validation, which obtained an average of 83.4% and the media expert’s validation, which obtained 82.42% with a very appropiate category. Second, the teacher's response to the learning, which obtained a very appropiate with the percentage of the material indicator of 85%, the interest of 86.6%, and the suitability of the media with the material of 85%; and third, the students’ responses indicate that the media indicators obtained 87.5% with very appropiate categories, while media indicators and readability obtained 70% with appropiate categories.
