Abstract

It is symbolic that on the first day of the full-scale invasion on February 24 2022, the Ukrainian power system had a planned disconnection from the aggressor's power grids, switched to isolated mode together with the Moldovan energy system, and later began to work in parallel with ENTSO-E. The purpose is to analyze available data on system and market behavior. For after-war development and energy security objectives in terms of energy sanctions, we have to look for all available resources to never get back on russian oil&gas needle. One of the lowest hanging fruits is available consumer resource, which can be harvested with demand response and demand side management mechanisms. Results showed that there is a great potential for implementing Aggregators entities in Ukraine.
