Abstract
A new concept about the road recognition problem, slice coherence comparability, is defined in this paper. A novel road model, generatrix-slice model, is proposed on this conception. Based on the numerical analysis of slice coherence comparability, the robustness of the lane detection and tracking is improved in evidence.
