Abstract
In this paper a new type of devices capable of transmitting electricity according to the signed contract regardless of the prosumer network parameters are need to implement the proposed smart grid concept is proposed. These devices support the remote-control possibility to control the transmitted power setting. An energy router (ER) is a power semiconductor device for controlling power flows between power systems, supporting bi-directional power transmission according to the setting from the higher-level control system. The ER can provide two three - phase AC ports with 0.4 kV voltages, thus can be used for connection of local generators to power grids. To analyze the device behavior, an energy router digital model for a consumer voltage level (0.4 kV) provides a simplified equivalent model and control strategy was developed and studied in various circuit-mode situations
